The problem isn’t effort

You’re working hard. But are you working on the right thing?

When exam day is close, another generic lesson is not a plan. Band Coach identifies the criterion holding your writing back, shows the evidence, and gives you one useful next move.

Without a clear priority

More practice. Same uncertainty.

  • Jumping between grammar, vocabulary, and structure
  • Feedback that sounds useful but lacks evidence
  • Score changes you cannot explain or trust
With Band Coach

One weakness. One reason. One next step.

  • A priority tied to an IELTS criterion
  • Feedback anchored to your exact words
  • Reassessment on a fresh, comparable prompt

A calmer path to progress

Diagnose. Practise. Prove it.

One connected loop, designed to answer the question that matters: what should I do next?

01

Diagnose

Find the constraint

Submit a Task 2 response. See an estimated range, criterion breakdown, confidence, and the evidence behind one priority.

02

Practise

Train one skill

Understand, try, review, and revise in a focused session built around the exact behaviour you need to improve.

03

Reassess

See what changed

Write to a fresh, comparable prompt and review before-and-after evidence without inflated or false-precision claims.

Evidence before confidence

Feedback you can trace back to your own writing.

Every observation connects a passage from your response to one criterion and one practical revision principle. No mystery score.

Illustrative feedback Priority

“Public transport is essential for cities. However, private cars should remain the main investment because they offer freedom.”

Your position changes without resolving the contrast.

State the principle that connects both ideas, then use each paragraph to develop it.

Why this mattersIt weakens progression across the response.

Illustrative comparison. Actual progress requires sufficient, comparable evidence.

Progress, without the theatre

See the behaviour that changed—not just a number.

Band Coach compares evidence across two pieces of writing. If the result is uncertain or the prompts are not comparable, it says so.

  • Fresh, comparable reassessment prompts
  • Confidence and limitations in plain language
  • A next action whether progress is verified or not

Designed for trust

Clear about what it knows—and what it doesn’t.

Estimated, not official

Results are practice estimates, always paired with confidence and limitations.

Your words, cited

Feedback points to exact evidence instead of producing generic advice.

No false progress

Small or uncertain changes are never presented as verified improvement.

You stay in control

Review the reasoning, change your focus, and keep your full learning history.

Questions, answered

Before you begin

Is this an official IELTS score?

No. Band Coach provides a practice estimate to help you choose what to work on next. It does not replace an official exam or qualified human assessment.

Why does it recommend only one priority?

When time is limited, a single evidence-based focus reduces planning overhead. You can review other criteria and change your focus at any time.

What happens if there isn’t enough evidence?

Strong score and progress claims are suppressed. You will see why confidence is lower and what response would provide better evidence.

Your next step should be obvious

Find the weakness worth fixing first.
